Inside a writer's mind over the course of a book:
This idea could be pretty cool. I can make it a good book and an interesting series. Week later: This book stinks. It's boring, I don't know where it's going, nobody's going to like it. Week later: This is actually pretty good. I think everyone will like it. Weeks later: I don't know if anyone will like this. Release day: The book is good. Everyone will like it. Bad review: I knew it was bad. Nobody likes it. I can't write. Why did I write this? My career's over. Nobody else is ever going to read anything I write. Good review: So the book's actually not too bad. A few people like it. And on and on and on...

Dear Mike...I just finished "The Silencer 1-4". I enjoyed the plot...however, whoever served as your editor did a very poor job! The grammar was ATROCIOUS! Also, I found several errors in regards to character names being switched or changed to new ones altogether! (e.g. Jimmy Simmons suddenly and just sometimes, Clifford?) This should never be done to an author of your caliber. I am an independent book editor and have seen it all; but I have NEVER seen as many egregious grammatical errors in a novel as I did in yours. Need help? Just write and I'll be there!

Thanks, Peggy. We're on it! That editor has since been replaced. Do you have a website we can bookmark?
